That day, with your hand in mine, we walked down the street.
What we shared was perfection, nothing less, nothing more.
With the sun overhead and the pavement at our feet,
we can’t help but feel the feelings we can't ignore.

I could go on about how your hair falls into place,
or how you blow me away with your kisses.
Before I fall asleep each night I think of your face,
and how my heart longs and aches and misses.

If I’m still dreaming, don’t wake me up yet;
I’m dreaming of how we’re meant to be.
If you don’t believe me, don’t place your bet.
I’m giving my all, just wait and see.

Your love so strong replaced all of my fears,
as I struggled to remember my life before you.
Without the pain, the heartache and the tears,
a candlelight dinner and a world for two.
